Unlike some races or classes, the Monk cannot be unlocked through Favor points. Teacher Unbongwah passed on Teacher EllisDee37's sage advice to those more ascetic acolytes among our candidates what others call Free-to-Play : You can run characters on all live servers and build up Turbine Points from each server.

This should give you almost, if not all the TP required to obtain the class with some hard work. As such, Free-to-Play players should note that the Book concentrates on the use of the class and does not differentiate chapter information based on specific adventures, classes or items that may be restricted to players by their account type.

If you are not familiar with a particular adventure, location or item, see the DDO Wiki for details about your account. The reason for this should be clear: It's a kind of cheat.

Not so much in cheating the game, but yourself. Get off my lawn. Last edited by PermaBanned; at AM. Originally Posted by zehnvhex. Originally Posted by Aelonwy. I'm not saying TRing isn't optional but its kind of optional in the way that defeating the waves in Devil Assault are optional.

For a race, Human is never a bad pick.

No real downsides and an extra feat at level one is hard to pass up. Above and beyond all else, have fun with what you are playing. If you try a class and aren't having any fun with it, try something else. Last edited by Memnir; at AM. Exit, pursued by a bear. It's another garbage spec. One night stands can play a healer Arti though I'm not picky.

I think a vanguard paladin is the definitive answer to the question in the OP. There are several listed in the repository link in sig. Mine is this one.

Especially if this person will be running content on normal as a first lifer. However if the intention is to be with a group then perhaps a spellsinger bard or a fire domain cleric?

All 3 are new player friendly and offer different play styles because not everyone likes the same things. Human Paladin offers decent offense and defense with self-heals.
