Liam neeson where is my daughter

In quick succession, we learn that Kimmy realizes that Amanda might be a bad influence, that she understands why she should have listened to her dad, that he has a very cool briefcase filled with spy gear, and that Bryan is absolutely lethal "They're going to take you," he informs his very frightened daughter just before she is taken and the speech begins.

Bryan's worst nightmare isn't that someone might harm his daughter. It's that someone will put his daughter in a position to be kidnapped. Let's face it: Due to her obliviousness, Amanda is percent responsible for this movie trilogy and, as such, deserves a medal. But she didn't deserve to die. Poor Amanda. Look at that primitive Nokia!

Bryan has no need for newfangled technology like this iPhone everyone seems to be talking about. He's going to use what he's always used and give his daughter a similar phone with "Daddy" programmed on speed dial like he's always done. One thing that is absolutely true: Bryan Mills loves Kim. What other practical ex-C. Only Bryan Mills, good dad, that's who. Another reading of Bryan Mills is that he's maybe a little too protective.

As it turns out, rightly so, but he was overly protective even before Kimmy foolishly decided that Amanda was a safe, smart friend to go on a European vacation with. Maybe he should let her live her life the way she wants to! But I will say that he's almost certainly a good dad, because he flies to Europe at the drop of a hat to save his daughter from human-trafficking ogres.

His first stop after the phone call is Stuart's house. Stuart played by the great character actor Xander Berkeley is married to Bryan's ex-wife, and his megamansion is where Kim now lives. And Bryan goes over there and just completely owns Stuart in seconds.

We learn that Stuart has been involved in an oil deal with a bunch of Russians that went south five years ago, and Bryan knows this "because I was not going to let my daughter live with someone without knowing everything about them.

Just ten days before Taken came out, Barack Obama was inaugurated as the 44th president of the United States and gave his memorable speech to a verifiably massive crowd. Bryan Mills : I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career.

Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. Marko : [after a long pause] Good luck. Bryan : A friend gave this to me.

It's Albanian. You mind translating it? Marko : [translates paper] "Good luck". Bryan : You don't remember me? We spoke on the phone two days ago. I told you I would find you.

Bryan : [Torturing Marko] I believe you. But that won't save you. Bryan : [after electrocuting Marko] You either give me what I need or this switch will stay on until they turn the power off for lack of payment on the bill.

Saint Clair : Please understand It wasn't personal. Bryan Mills : It was all personal to me. Bryan Mills : [after Jean Claude tries to shoot him] That is what happens when you sit behind a desk. You forget things, like the weight in the hand of a gun that's loaded and one that's not. Jean Claude : Isabelle!

Jean Claude : You asshole! Bryan Mills : It's a flesh wound. But if you don't get me what I need, the last thing you'll see before I make your children orphans is the bullet I put between her eyes! Bryan : You come to this country, take advantage of the system and think because we are tolerant that we are weak and helpless.

Your arrogance offends me. Bryan : I push one button and 38 agents are here before you have time to scratch your worthless balls. Kim : You don't have to worry. Bryan Mills : That's like telling water not to be wet, sweetie.

Kim : Mom said your job made you paranoid. Bryan : Well, my job made me aware. Bryan : [to Marko, while preparing him for torture] You know, we used to outsource this kind of thing. But what we found was the countries we outsourced to had unreliable power grids.

Very Third World. You'd turn on a switch - power wouldn't come on, and then tempers would get short. People would resort to pulling fingernails. Acid drips on bare skin. The whole exercise would become counterproductive. But here, the power's stable. Here, there's a nice even flow.

Here, you can flip a switch and the power stays on all day. Where is she? Sam : The specialty of the groups coming out of this area is trafficking in women. Bryan Mills : Keep going.

Sam : Okay. Their previous MO was to offer women from the emerging East-European countries like Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria jobs in the west as maids and nannies. Once they smuggled them in, they'd addict them to drugs and turn them into prostitutes. The speed limit for boats on the Seine is 15 knots, about 17 mph , so even if the boat could somehow travel at the maximum speed for the river which would be impossible for a boat like that , it would still be at a crawl for a car.

Quotes Bryan Mills : I don't know who you are. Alternate versions Some of the shoot outs, the torture scene and some fisticuffs have been shortened in length for the film's US release to secure a PG rating. The run time difference to the international version is about three minutes. User reviews 1. Top review. Never Boring, Always Exciting.

This movie had me excited from since I had read reviews on IMDb about it, and it did not disappoint. This is a fast paced thriller that had me gripped till the end, with great elements of action, a bit of gore, a lot of suspense, and all in all a fun movie that was completely worth the 90 minutes. Liam Neeson once again proves himself to be up there among the best with another brilliant performance and this one has really made me a big fan of his work, especially after great performances recently in Batman Begins, and voice roles in Narnia and Fallout 3.

All through the movie he gives you the impression that he is not one to be messed with, and makes the action sequences look absolutely fantastic. The next Bond? Although a bit old, he would fit into the role brilliantly seeing as how easily he carried it through in Taken. All in all, a great movie, and one I'd recommend to anyone who loves a good action thriller Nine out of Ten. FAQ 9. What is "Taken" about?
